Goddamn it!  Trump was right!  He can rape a woman on Fifth Avenue, and he won’t lose a vote from his base.  There really aren’t any limits to the guy.  All I can figure is that Trump’s base knows that the President is a raging, unhinged psycho, and they like that about him.  I mean, I’ve thought the same thing for a while, but that’s me. It’s a shock to see it in action. None of the terrible things Trump does makes a dent in his support. It’s kind of like a superpower that way.

I guess that frees up the rest of us, doesn’t it?  No point in trying to draw in the hard-core Trumpists, ‘cause we already know the answer there.  They’re not coming, no matter what. Saves us a lot of crawling through conspiracy nonsense. And the Republicans who prop up Trump?  They’re riding the tiger; they’re not jumping off either.  As much as I thought Obama was a saint for trying to include Republican positions into his worldview, now I’m thinking maybe Obama was just another chump.  They weren’t moving then, and they’re even more anti-progress now. All the Republicans and Trump ninnies have given up on the ‘America’ thing and they’re not coming back.  So I guess we blow them all off, too.

I’m still open.  I know I laughed the last time, and I still think it was pretty funny, but really, I’ll be serious this time.  <Zips closed my lips.>  I won’t point or giggle at all.  If any Republican or Trump voter shows a change in opinion that isn’t, like, completely opportunistic, I’ll at least hear them out. 

For example, I hate almost every position Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) takes.  Amash voted against the climate, he voted against Dreamers, against Native Americans, against healthcare and pre-existing conditions.  Amash voted against the Violence Against Women Act, he skipped the vote against the war in Yemen, and I’ve only gone back to April.  He’s got a seriously conservative record that’s pretty horrible.  But, damn, the guy seems to actually believe what he says and acts consistently.  Even though he’d probably put every LGBTQ person in jail, at least he’s not two-faced.

But the rest of you morons?  Screw all of you.  If you’re the kind who let a rapist off the hook without batting an eye, I’m done with the lot of you. Go ahead, tell me how much you honor your mom or something.

And Democrats?  The party that pretends they’re the good guys?  Don’t think you’re off the hook.  If you skip, I’m done with you, too.  This is on you almost as hard.  Nobody walks away clean.  You either stay and fix things, or you’re done.
