Trump Wins Again.

Remember when Jeff Session was caught lying under oath during his confirmation hearing?  Under no pressure, Sessions simply lied when he said he has no contacts with the Russian Ambassador.  Completely unforced.  Then Sessions went on the chat show circuit, trying to ‘explain’ himself, but every time he opened his mouth, he dug himself deeper.

So Trump grabbed his last stupid tweet and accused Susan Rice of… something he made up.  Didn’t matter.  His whole point was to throw out something shiny to change the focus.

Worked like a charm.  Everyone was upset that he lied again, pulling another stunt just like the last dozen publicity stunts.  And the major media, knowing he was lying as a distraction, nonetheless printed his accusation as if he’d actually presented a shred of evidence to support it.

And today, many, many people are… still defending Susan Rice, since she’s obviously innocent of any wrongdoing.  I guess that’s a good thing.

But is anyone talking about Jeff Sessions lying under oath in front of Congress?  He was negotiating with the Russian Ambassador, possibly against American interests.  Seems juicy enough.  Any takers?
