Biden Child Credit Cuts Child Poverty in Half
Last spring, Biden promised the Child Tax Credit (part of his American Rescue Plan) would cut child poverty in half. Every Republican voted against it, but it passed, and it worked. The Congressional Research Service confirmed that Child poverty did, in fact, drop from 13% to 7%.
