Republicans mindlessly prattle about American Exceptionalism. It’s just a cover story they hide behind as they hamstring American progress. We’ve already fallen far behind the world. We’re not in the top ten for education, healthcare, technology or infrastructure. Maybe we’re still tops in gullibility?
We sat on our hands for too long, not protecting ourselves, and pretending it won’t matter. Ignoring all the evidence, we say, ‘It isn’t that bad; it’s not real.’ We are idiots. The epidemic is real, it will get much worse, and it will take much longer than we’ve prepared for. And we’re still sitting on our hands.
Trump jumped to declare his wall a national emergency, but Republicans obstruct every response to COVID-19. That’s not the real emergency for Republicans, its just their excuse for corporate welfare, tax cuts, racism, and more xenophobia. They profit from dead people.
Unless we vote for the winner, our votes don’t matter. We field candidates that the majority may not like. Ranked Choice Voting is a fairer alternative that better captures our wishes.
Trump calls for unchecked power. His supporters cheer and talk about needing assault rifles against the government. And we make excuses. He attacks impartial justice, and they agree. Stop pretending they’re not calling for the end of the American experiment.
The Washington Post is insane. AG Barr is dismantling the rule of law, but the Post is mostly worried about the Trump/Barr bromance.
Trump, with his Impeachment acquittal in hand, is letting his Borderline Personality Disorder bloom. He will have his revenge.
Devin Nunes is still a liar. Nunes was working closely with Lev Parnas all the time he tried to derail the House Intelligence Committee hearings into that conspiracy.
