The news media ignores what we all know: Republicans are guilty of insurrection. They are bad-faith actors who have no policy goals. They’re a criminal enterprise that distains governance. If we allow criminals to sit in judgment of their own actions, the American experiment is nearly done.
We pretend the authorities were simply overwhelmed. The Senate witnesses contradicted each other, recasting the blame. The News Media assume “underestimated” as if it were the only option. But suppose our paramilitary leaders allowed the rioters to sack the Capitol. What if they wanted the Insurrection to win?
Former Republicans cast Donald Trump as the devil. “He broke the party!” they shout. But no, the roots of Trumpism are buried in Republican operatives used deception, manipulation, and racism to corrupt their base. Trump wasn’t an aberration; he is the GOP’s natural heir.
Republicans don’t just distrust Democrats; the Republican Rage Machine dictates loathing and hate. But if we can break the zero-sum, two-party deathmatch, we can be friends again. We SHOULD work together; we have everything in common.
All Republicans are trapped in the Trumpian Hell of their worst zealots. The GOP is the morally empty party of insurrection. They’re not even conservative anymore. Many people want to leave. Except…
Where else can conservatives go? They need a new party, and for that, we need to make some changes.
Biden faces many urgent crises, but don’t let the urgent stuff overwhelm what’s important. The Democratic Party needs to fix American governance. Trump almost crashed our democracy. We need to fix those holes. Except the insane clown posse is still running the GOP. They’re the problem. So, It’s up to the rest of us.
The Washington Post has learned nothing. They’re focusing on the GOP lie about unity and healing. This is the same Republican Criminal Enterprise that voted to overturn our democracy just a few weeks ago. Their “Unity!” brainworm is a distraction, so we won’t uncover how deeply the conspiracy ran.
A few days ago, I criticized the news media’s slavish dedication to Republican Brainworms: parasitic memes the GOP coined to disguise their attacks in emotion). Today, the Washington Post automatically repeated the Republican “Stimulus” label for Biden’s COVID Disaster Relief bill.
