Always nice to see someone defending the foundational principles of democracy. I wanted to call Trump a thug, but then I ran into this from Urban Dictionary:
A thug is a follower in society, NOT a leader, thugs are lead by leaders, a thug don’t think for himself, he thinks what a leader tells him, he follows trends that are almost always go against common sense, a stupid thug goes to prison because they always do a leaders dirty work, a stupid thug is usually a criminal and a member in a gang.
Yeah, Trump is the thug leader, not a thug himself. The thugs are people like Scott Pruitt. Talk about a stupid thug. Pruitt broke, what, like two dozen federal laws, including several possible felonies? But if you’re only looking at power, Pruitt might be on the right side. Even though Pruitt is under around 15 separate investigations for crimes he publicly admits doing, anyone want to bet that Pruitt gets away clean?

Thugs. The ICE agents who break with procedure, decency, and even legality? Those are the thugs. And no thug is too extreme for the new Republican “Make America White Again” party. No, they’re not seizing MS-13 gangs. Not unless you believe all those kids and young girls toddlers are closet gangsters.
I hate this part, but I have to include the obligatory disclaimer. Yes, I’m sure many ICE agents are good people trying their best. Yes, they’re following disjointed, hard-to-parse, semi-policy statements from Trump and his stooges. I don’t give a shit! When the ICE agents who break policy, procedure, common decency, and even federal laws are never held to task by their managers or by other agents, then we’re done. The rest doesn’t matter. They’re all culpable.
