This is a paraphrase from Paul Ryan as reported in the Washington Post:

[Rep. Paul Ryan] added: “I would just say that of course there needs to be a degree of independence between [the Department of Justice], FBI and the White House and a line of communications established. The president’s new at this. He’s new to government, and so he probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between DOJ, FBI and White Houses. He’s just new to this.”

All right, so the newest Republican meme is that Trump is clearly too dumb–

I mean, Trump is too inexperienced to know that America is supposed to be a land of laws that apply to everyone….

All right, so maybe I’m not entirely clear on the Paul Ryan logic about why whatever atrocity Trump did today is really A-OK.

Um, actually, that’s a big ole’ “nuh-uh”, Mr. ScaryHair.  No established religion.  We don’t all worship that god of yours.  Some of us don’t worship any god.  And yet, we’re all still Americans, as much as that surprises and disappoints you.

So the guy in charge fails basic civics.  Again!  I blame home-schooling.
