Trump remains a compulsive fabulist.

Trump’s letter firing Comey only had five full sentences, and yet one of them was this:
While I greatly appreciate you informing me,on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.
Why did Trump lie about that? It will only hurt him later.
Because he simply has to. That’s the evidence I see. It’s not a choice; Trump cannot help himself. He has to lie about something. He includes a pointless lie in every couple of paragraphs he writes, and it’s every few sentences when he’s talking.
Deranged.
