Apparently there are none.

This was a Trump tweet from 15 hours ago (as of this writing):
General Flynn was given the highest security clearance by the Obama Administration – but the Fake News seldom likes talking about that.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 8, 2017
Not exactly. Flynn received his security clearance, yes. Then he went crazy, and the Obama administration fired him, a fact that was widely reported. During the transition, Obama personally recommended to Trump that he not hire Flynn.
Trump hired him anyway.
And, Trump’s team conducted their own vetting, which uncovered that Flynn was acting as a paid agent of a foreign country (Turkey).
And Trump hired him anyway.
And Michael Flynn’s own attorneys had notified the White House about being a paid but unregistered foreign agent. In writing.
Flynn had to get a new security clearance to be the National Security Advisor. This is a different verification process than most clearances, conducted by the CIA for national security personnel in the White House.
Flynn didn’t finish that application, and hadn’t gotten his clearance.
And trump hired him anyway.
And now we find out that Acting Attorney General Sally Yates had personally warned the White House Council that Flynn was lying about his Russian contacts, that he was compromised, and in addition, he was acting in ways that were problematic. She personally notified the WH Council there were problems, then met in person that same day, then had a second meeting with the WH Council the next day. This was the Attorney General of the United States; the AG doesn’t normally drive over and have informal chats.
Trump was informed about this. And he continued to let him act in one of the most sensitive jobs in the world.
So Trump simply and openly lies. Just like so many other Trump lies. I know there are political lies that politicians use, but this is a lie of substance, about an issue of law. There are issues about malfeasance.
SEAN SPICER: Additionally, why did the Obama administration allow Flynn go to Russia for a paid speaking engagement and receive a fee? There were steps that they could have taken if that was truly a concern more than just a person that had bad blood.
Because Flynn helpfully didn’t tell the Obama administration about his trip ahead of time, the way he was legally required to? (A requirement that the DOJ helpfully reminded Flynn about in writing well prior to his trip?)
Spicer knew this, of course. And more.
SEAN SPICER: Every individual who came into this White House either applied for a security clearance or had one. Everyone in the government goes through the same SF-86 process — every single person. And so why would you re-run a background check on someone who is the head of the Department of Defense Intelligence Agency that had and did maintain a high-level security clearance?
Because the CIA always does a new clearance for National Security positions. Which Spicer knows. And Flynn had applied. Which Spicer knows. And Flynn lied by omission, as Spicer knows.
If someone lies to your face, about issues of substance — clearly self-serving lies — are there consequences?
Not so clear at all, that one. And that one really shouldn’t be an open question.
