More of the same.

So far this week:
- Trump buses the entire Senate over to the White House for an extra-special, classified, North Korean briefing.
- Four people had to brief 100 people. And the Senate has a secure facility — a SCIF — that’s big enough for everyone, since they do this all the time. And yet Trump had a White House auditorium modified for classified information and sent crappy, duct-taped buses to ferry all 100 Senators to him. So four people could talk to them.
- There was nothing new in the briefing. Trump did not, thankfully, declare war, which is always good, but nobody said they learned anything.
- Right afterwords, those same four people drove to the Capital to make the same presentation to Congress. In their existing SCIF. No duct tape was hurt to complete that briefing.
- Trump issued his Tax Reform Plan, a double-spaced, one page bit of nonsense. As Lawrence O’Donnell explained, Tax Reform is tax-neutral: it doesn’t raise or lower overall revenue. Lowering revenue is a tax cut. Trump used the words interchangeably., and his “plan” was a dozen campaign applause lines in bullet-point. Not a snowball’s chance in hell of passing. Thank god.
- Trump continues to push his new, super-secret TrumpCare version 3. Now with even worse coverage! Yes, although Trump won’t show it to people like us (it’s not like we have anything on the line), Trump is reportedly hoping to drop even more people as he grovels in front of the Freedom Caucus again. You have to be impressed: Trump can’t even fake empathy. Still only a snowball’s chance in hell of passing. Thank god.
- The government is still looking to run off the rails at the end of the week, and we’re no closer to getting a budget than last week. Trump’s ‘budget’ was (big surprise) a one-page collection of applause lines in bullet-point. I can’t say there was no progress, since Trump spend the first half of the week trying to blow up any agreement by trying to blackmail Democrats to get his wall. Not much chance of a Republican budget passing. Thank god.
So that’s about it: President “Never did his homework” in full dysfunction, trying to palm off half-written nonsense as a full book report.
I mean, is Trump even literate? It’d explain why he struggles to follow a Teleprompter.
