President Tiny Hands at work.

(This is another article I started a few days ago. I know I promised I’d protect you from this, but I swear, it’s short.)
While Republicans are trying to distract us by overtly smearing Susan Rice and shrieking about imaginary wiretaps, it’s worth stepping back from the latest shiny objects.
What are Trump’s political goals? What does he want to achieve? Look at his campaign promises. Healthcare. Trade. Jobs. The wall. Spend a trillion on infrastructure. (Did even Trump loyalists really believe the one about congressional term limits?)
Trump certainly talked a mile a minute, and yet he has nothing more than his first bumper-sticker positions. He doesn’t seem to actually believe in that stuff.
What has he done? He kills worker protections, so that’s one. He blocked the rule that investment advisors should be honest. All environmental protections are gone, along with any science that might be embarrassing later.
Well, he clearly believes in anything that pushes more money for his fellow oligarchs. He spends a lot of time on his own profit, too. Trump signs whatever Bannen pushes in front of him. I can’t say why.
Trump signed the Republican law allowing ISPs to sell all your information without telling you. He only signed it in a dark closet, so maybe that’s just a Republican thing.
Trump spends a lot of his political capital on his family. His kids
(who are running his companies) now have special positions where they can — and do — self-deal to no end, secure that no Republican will call them on it. So Trump looks after his family (except maybe Melania).
Trump issued endless hours writing distracting claims trying to distract from the people who point out that he’s a lying, empty blowhard. That’s important to him.
That’s about it.
