Seriously? Why does anyone listen to that guy?

Trump was so desperate to distract us from his Russian connections, he accused former President Obama of using the powers of the government to cheat on the election.
Look, the power arrangement is simple: if you make an accusation, it’s you job to prove it. The stronger the accusation you make, the more critical that your proof be ironclad. It’s on you.
President of the United States Donald J. Trump accused former President Obama of a felony. Can’t get any stronger than that, or any more miserable. But Trump didn’t even pretend to present any evidence, documentation, or testimony. Zippo.
The charge isn’t just implausible, it’s probably impossible. The FBI has disowned the act and the possibility. Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James R. Clapper said unequivocally said there was no such FISA warrant while he was in authority: there was no FBI wiretap.
If Trump wasn’t simply lying, how did he envision this wiretap happened? Did Michelle visited the local switching office with little alligator clips and a recorder?
Trump ran away, leaving other people to stand in his place. I even feel bad for Sean Spicer. Here’s part of today’s White House Press Conference:
Jonathon Karl: …It’s been a full three days since the President said that President Obama had his wires tapped, his phones tapped at Trump Tower. In those three days, has the White House come up with any evidence whatsoever to prove that allegation?
MR. SPICER: I addressed this multiple times yesterday. I think the President — we put out a statement on Sunday saying that we would have no further comment and we were asking the House and the Senate intelligence committees to look into this concern and report back.
So that’s it? Five tweets and he’s done? What kind of goon does that?
Q Can’t the President just ask the FBI director if this happened? Has he asked him?
I swear, if I’m not allowed to forget that Trump is the President, he can’t pretend he isn’t, either.
He’s the boss. Both the FBI and Justice work for him. All he has to do is ask them.
MR. SPICER: Look, I think — no, the President has not. And I think that we’ve gone back and forth with you guys — I think there is clearly a role that Congress can play in its oversight capabilities. They’ve made it very clear that they have the staff, the resources and the process. I think that’s the appropriate place for this to handle. I think if we were to start to get involved you would then write stories about how we were getting involved.
[…]
So, as the President said in the statement on Sunday, we believe that that investigation, as well as the investigation of other classified leaks and other important information that threatens our national security, be looked into by the House and Senate intelligence committees, and then we encourage them to report back.
This question about the accusation came up later in the same conference:
Q Will the President withdraw the accusation? Does he have any —
MR. SPICER: Why would he withdraw it until it’s adjudicated? That’s what we’re asking, is for them to look at this and see if there is —
Q No regrets with him about raising this accusation?
MR. SPICER: No. Absolutely not. And I think that what he wants them to do is to look into wiretapping, other surveillance, and again, as I mentioned before, the other leaks that are threatening our national security.
And Spicer retreats into more word salad.
So, Trump still has nothing, surprising no one. Trump won’t even pretend he has more. He’s too chicken to admit he never had anything. The guy who is the boss of all the US wiretapping infrastructure is calling for someone else to try to prove it for him.
This is a question of honor, and we have the answer.
Trump is a slanderous, miserable liar. And a coward. I wonder if that’s the result he was going for?
