(New England Patriots beat Atlanta Falcons in overtime.)
Trump, in a Saturday interview (broadcast on Sunday), insisted the US was morally equivalent to Russia under Putin.
Trump: …It’s better to get along with Russia than not.
O’Reilly: But he’s a killer, though. Putin’s a killer.
Trump: There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?”
His point was that we’re not morally superior, or even morally different.
Vice President Mike Price was on “Meet the Press” this morning. Pence was twisting around, slowly getting redder as he tried to insist that Trump’s obvious moral equivalence wasn’t really, that the Muslim Ban Executive Order wasn’t rushed out, and that the Muslim ban wasn’t a ban at all despite Trump himself calling it a ban repeatedly. Listening to him defend Trump’s latest lie as evidence of Trump’s determination to be honest with the America people? Deadeningly Orwellian.
Pence did made a superficially valid point. He claimed they chose those seven specific Muslim nations because they were failing states without the infrastructure for allow accurate vetting. He sidestepped the suggestion that it might also be because they didn’t hold Trump properties. It’s telling that they only started saying that a week after Trump signed the EO, instead choosing to have Kellyanne Conway pitch her imaginary ‘Bowling Green Massacre’.
In between Super Bowl tweets, Trump continues complaining about the legal case. His dedication to the American form of government seems touch and go.
Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!

I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!
